Waterra / Cindy & Wendell Roth
The Pitch: Waterra (the combination of Water and Terra (“Earth”)) was founded by Cindy & Wendell Roth in 2010 with the purpose of finding a solution for the tens of billions of plastic bottles (bottled water, energy drinks, vitamin drinks, sport drinks, flavored drinks, etc.) discarded annually in the United States. The scope broadened to providing a healthier alternative to the sugared and diet beverages packaged in plastic bottles. Waterra provides environmentally-friendly purified water dispensers that require the consumer to utilize a reusable water bottle or container and eliminates the problem of single use plastic bottles.

Piedmont Distillers, Inc. / Joe Michalek

We are constantly innovating new spirits that embrace distilling traditions and ingredients of the region, excite the palate and the senses, and offer people something different than what’s typically on store shelves.
Zenergy Technologies / Chris Laney
The Pitch: Zenergy Technologies helps companies improve their software, ensuring it’s developed correctly and when they release it to their users – whether that is a customer or their own employees – that the software defects have been significantly reduced. There are two sides to what we do. The first is the process side: quality assurance and process improvement , helping companies elevate and mature their processes. The other side is test automation, which is simply software that tests other software. We excel at customizing test automation software to ensure companies get the value out of it. If software doesn’t work right it causes major problems, so this is where the software QA industry gained its foothold.
